The Summerhouse: Houston, TX, United States; The Summerhouse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to provide opportunities and support for young adults with intellectual disabilities as they transition from high school into adult life. Based on a personalized program, we provide a safe, productive learning environment with emphasis on self-direction and choices while fostering social skills and friendships, accessing volunteer opportunities utilizing community connections while maximizing each individual’s potential and level of independence.
